A documentary film is a movie that attempts, in some way, to document reality. Even though the scenes are carefully chosen and arranged, they are not scripted, and the people in a documentary film are not actors. Sometimes, a documentary film may rely on voice-over narration to describe what is happening in the footage; in other films, the footage will speak for itself. Often, a documentary film will include interviews with the people in the film. The earliest film of any sort was a documentary film. These featured single shots of actual events, such as a boat leaving shore, and were referred to as "actuality" films. Other early forms of the documentary film included propaganda films, such as the famous Leni Reifenstahl movie, Triumph of the Will, which made Adolph Hitler appear heroic. One type of documentary film that became popular in the 1950s was called cinema verité, which is the literal French translation of "cinema truth." Cinema verité is a type of documentary film that includes no narration; the camera simply follows the subject. One famous example of such a film is Don't Look Back a biography film about Bob Dylan, covering his tour of the United Kingdom in 1965. In recent years, the documentary film genre has become more popular and high profile, though it is still far less popular generally than the action or adventure film genre. Many of today's examples of the documentary film have a political or otherwise controversial agenda, such as An Inconvenient Truth, Super Size Me, and Fahrenheit 911. Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 911, which documented the Bush family's ties to Saudi Arabia and Osama bin Laden, was the most popular documentary film of all time, with over $228 million US Dollars in ticket sales. The documentary film is still low on the radar of most movie audiences, but the popularity of recent films illustrates that audiences are willing to watch a movie that has a serious agenda. Because documentary films are much cheaper to produce than commercial movies, they are a low risk for studios. In the future, we are likely to see many more documentary film releases in theaters.

War economy is the term used to describe the contingencies undertaken by the modern state to mobilise its economy for war production. Philippe Le Billon describes a war economy as a "system of producing, mobilising and allocating resources to sustain the violence". Many states increase the degree of planning in their economies during wars; in many cases this extends to rationing, and in some cases to conscription for civil purposes, such as the Women's Land Army and Bevin Boys in the United Kingdom in World War II. Franklin D. Roosevelt said that if the Axis Powers win, then "we would have to convert ourselves permanently into a militaristic power on the basis of war economy." [1]In what is known as total war, these economies are often seen as targets by many militaries. The Union blockade during the American Civil War is regarded as one of the first examples of this. Concerning the side of aggregate demand, this concept has been linked to the concept of " military Keynesianism", in which the government's military budgetstabilizes business cycles and fluctuations and/or is used to fight recessions. On the supply side, it has been observed that wars sometimes have the effect of accelerating progress of technology to such an extent that an economy is greatly strengthened after the war, especially if it has avoided the war-related destruction. This was the case, for example, with the United States in World War I and World War II. Some economists (such as Seymour Melman) argue, however, that the wasteful nature of much of military spending eventually can hurt technological progress.

The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, first published in 1989, is a self-help book written by Stephen R. Covey. It has sold more than 15 million copies in 38 languages since first publication, which was marked by the release of a 15th anniversary edition in 2004. Covey presents an approach to being effective in attaining goals by aligning oneself to what he calls "true north" principles of a character ethic that he presents as universal and timeless. In August 2011, Timelisted Seven Habits as one of " The 25 Most Influential Business Management Books". Each chapter is dedicated to one of the habits, which are represented by the following imperatives: Independence or Self-Mastery The First Three Habits surround moving from dependence to independence (i.e. self mastery): Habit 1: Be Proactive
Synopsis: Take initiative in life by realizing that your decisions (and how they align with life's principles) are the primary determining factor for effectiveness in your life. Take responsibility for your choices and the subsequent consequences that follow.
Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind
Synopsis: Self-discover and clarify your deeply important character values and life goals. Envision the ideal characteristics for each of your various roles and relationships in life.
Habit 3: Put First Things First
Synopsis: Plan, prioritize, and execute your week's tasks based on importance rather than urgency. Evaluate whether your efforts exemplify your desired character values, propel you toward goals, and enrich the roles and relationships that were elaborated in Habit 2. Interdependence
The next three have to do with Interdependence (i.e. working with others):
Habit 4: Think Win-Win
Synopsis: Genuinely strive for mutually beneficial solutions or agreements in your relationships. Value and respect people by understanding a "win" for all is ultimately a better long-term resolution than if only one person in the situation had gotten his way.
Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood
Synopsis: Use empathetic listening to be genuinely influenced by a person, which compels them to reciprocate the listening and take an open mind to being influenced by you. This creates an atmosphere of caring, respect, and positive problem solving.
Habit 6: Synergize Synopsis: Combine the strengths of people through positive teamwork, so as to achieve goals no one person could have done alone. Get the best performance out of a group of people through encouraging meaningful contribution, and modeling inspirational and supportive leadership. [ edit]Self Renewal The Last habit relates to self-rejuvenation: Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw
Synopsis: Balance and renew your resources, energy, and health to create a sustainable, long-term, effective lifestyle.

You probably don’t want to admit it but you love distractions. In fact, just like monkeys, you get a shot of dopamine every time something pulls you in another direction. Why do you think you check your email so much? Want to be more productive and get your focus back? There are no secret tricks here… do one thing at a time. Stop multitasking—it’s just another form of distraction. Easier said than done, I know. Recently I sat down with Tony Wong, a project management blackbelt whose client list includes Toyota, Honda, and Disney, to name a few. He’s an expert in keeping people on task, so I thought he’d be a good person to ask. Here are his tips for staying productive: *Work backwards from goals to milestones to tasks. Writing “launch company website” at the top of your to-do list is a sure way to make sure you never get it done. Break down the work into smaller and smaller chunks until you have specific tasks that can be accomplished in a few hours or less: Sketch a wireframe, outline an introduction for the homepage video, etc. That’s how you set goals and actually succeed in crossing them off your list.
*Stop multi-tasking. No, seriously—stop. Switching from task to task quickly does not work. In fact, changing tasks more than 10 times in a day makes you dumber than being stoned. When you’re stoned, your IQ drops by five points. When you multitask, it drops by an average of 10 points, 15 for men, five for women (yes, men are three times as bad at multitasking than women). *Be militant about eliminating distractions. Lock your door, put a sign up, turn off your phone, texts, email, and instant messaging. In fact, if you know you may sneak a peek at your email, set it to offline mode, or even turn off your Internet connection. Go to a quiet area and focus on completing one task. Schedule your email. Pick two or three times during the day when you’re going to use your email.

Described as a teacher's teacher, Michael Tsarion is a Divination Scholar and Sidereal Mythologist. An expert on Stellar Astrology, he is the creator of the Archetypal Stellar Taroscopic™ Astrological system of Hermetic Divination, and founder of the online Taroscopic Mystery School. Michael is a descendant of a long line of philosophers, free-thinkers, ascetics and visionaries.
His Himalayan born mother was a well-loved, internationally recognized clairvoyant, whose affiliates included Barbara Marx Hubbard, Sir George Trevelyan, Jerry Jampolsky, Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, Shirley MacLane, Edgar Mitchell and a host of other celebrities and academics. She attended J. Krishnamurti’s premier college in India and was later honored as the very first clairvoyant to be a regular on Irish Television. The CEO of Britain’s Independent Broadcasting described her readings as “devastatingly accurate.”
Michael is also the grandson of Tara Singh, the renowned philosopher, author and teacher of the theosophic tome A Course in Miracles. He was the intimate friend of J. Krishnamurti (the World Teacher), Swiss architect Le Corbusier, Keith Critchlow, Alan Chadwick, Eleanor Roosevelt and President Nehru. He was entrusted, by the latter, with India’s 5-year plan of restoration after British withdrawal. Tara Singh was also played a key role in the Rev. Paul Solomon’s Fellowship of Inner Light, one of the first true American mystery schools. He now heads the Foundation for Life Action in Los Angeles.
Michael was born and raised in Ireland and grew up learning metaphysics from Krishnamurti, Rev. Paul Solomon and Peter Balin. Growing up surrounded by leading free-thinkers and mystery school creators he was under pressure to find his own authentic voice rather than becoming dependant on the systems and influences of others. He has honored his pedigree by dedicating his life to the deepest research concerning the seminal metaphysical sciences. And unlike so many, he believes in honoring the work and the names of his mentors. He takes it as a given, the words of Lord Macauly:
A people which takes no pride in the noble achievements of remote ancestors will never achieve anything worthy to be remembered with pride by remote descendants.
Intuitive since birth, he was introduced to the Tarot at age 11 through Rev. Paul Solomon’s premier mystery school - the Fellowship of Inner Light Movement and learning of its profound effect on the human intuition and its value as an empowerment tool, committed his life to bringing Tarot into the lives of others.
He has been affiliated with the Paul Solomon Foundation of Virginia, the Rosicrucian Order, the Naqsbaandi Sufi Order, and has taught indigo children at the New Age Academy in Berkeley, and is frequent guest of Seeing Beyond and KEST, the Bay Area's leading metaphysical radio programs.

He is a long-term researcher into the causative forces behind major changes in historical development. His background is that of a renaissance man with a background in three professions, plus having various books published in religions, philosophy, poetry, mainly under pseudonyms.
For much of his life (for main income) he was heavily involved in the music industry as a singer/songwriter/performer involved in folk music, blues, pop, rock, and even classical. Also known for his session guitar work, he has played with some of the most well-known artists and groups. Born in Scotland, he watched the subtleties of politics and media as they guided the population of the U.K. covertly into a European Amalgamation. He has been warning the North American people for some years now that the same process of amalgamation is being carried out.
With historical documentation, he shows how cultures are created and altered by those in control, always to lead the people like sheep into the next pasture. Learn the true esoteric meanings of mystery religions from one who knows.
Learn the science of Religion Creation-Domination. The latest book trilogy (Cutting Through Volumes 1,2,3) attempts to deprogram the reader from his/her indoctrination from accepting the world as presented. These books help stimulate the individual's mind into a higher, truer perception.

Euroscepticism is a general term used to describe criticism of the European Union (EU), and opposition to the process of European integration, existing throughout the political spectrum. Traditionally, the main source of euroscepticism has been the notion that integration weakens the nation state. Other views occasionally seen as eurosceptic include perceptions of the EU being undemocratic or too bureaucratic. A Eurobarometer survey of EU citizens in 2009 showed that support for membership of the EU was lowest in Latvia, the United Kingdom, and Hungary. There are two different types of Eurosceptic thought, which differ by the extent to which adherents reject European integration and the reason for doing so. Aleks Szczerbiak and Paul Taggart described these as 'hard' and 'soft' euroscepticism. Hard euroscepticism is the opposition to membership of, or the existence of, the European Union as a matter of principle. The Europe of Freedom and Democracy group in the European Parliament, typified by such parties as the United Kingdom Independence Party, is hard eurosceptic. In existing western European EU member countries, hard euroscepticism is a hallmark of many anti-establishment parties. Soft euroscepticism is support for the existence of, and membership of, a form of European Union, but opposition to particular EU policies, and opposition to a federal Europe. The European Conservatives and Reformists group, typified by such parties as the British Conservative Party, along with the European United Left–Nordic Green Left which is an alliance of left-wing parties in the European Parliament, is soft eurosceptic.

Education bodies in parts of the country are using the Healthy Schools initiative introduced by Tony Blair’s government to impose “liberal and permissive” teaching on pupils, campaigners warn. Labour introduced the National Healthy Schools Programme in 1999, with aims including support for healthy behaviour and reduction of health inequalities. But a survey of all 152 local authorities in England found inconsistency in the way in which its guidelines were being applied in the classroom, according to the Family Education Trust. A report by the trust suggests that some authorities are insisting schools teach sex education in order to qualify for the Healthy Schools award. The trust said such lessons are not required by law or the Healthy Schools criteria. Norman Wells, a Family Education Trust director, said: “It is very concerning to find some local authorities insisting that primary schools teach sex and relationships education as a condition of receiving the Healthy Schools award, when primary school governing bodies are free to decide whether or not to teach sex education after consultation with parents. "Primary schools that make a principled decision not to teach sex education should not be stigmatised and denied a sought-after award for that reason. “There is nothing inherently 'unhealthy’ about a primary school that decides not to teach sex education.” The report also found that a significant minority of local authorities were using the initiative to restrict schools’ use of outside agencies to teach the benefits of saving sex for marriage.

Essential Articles: Candid instructional videos created with leading Dutch sexologists and supported by international bodies ... Trailer at ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=f-4... 12th October 2011, London: A groundbreaking new website providing no nonsense advice and detailed instructional videos for young adults on how to enjoy various aspects of sex, launches in the UK today. What happens the first time you have sex? What alternatives are there to the missionary position? Practical sexual education advice is sensitively portrayed on www.showmehow.co.uk in an explicit and candid format. www.showmehow.co.uk features 19 different video training courses that guide viewers aged 18 and above through a wide range of sexual activities and positions for both heterosexual and gay audiences. Each course lasts between 3 – 5 minutes long and are not only characterized by their explicit nature, but also by such key elements as respect, love, relaxation and kindness. The courses feature sensitively filmed couples already in a loving and intimate relationship, voiceovers and occasional instructional graphics. Created by the Foundation for Sexual Education in conjunction with a team of leading Dutch sexologists, the site is the first of its kind to be launched in the UK, part of a planned international roll out of the concept. www.showmehow.co.uk is based on the hit Dutch website www.hoehetmoet.nl, launched following extensive research into young people’s reactions to sex education. www.hoehetmoet.nl launched in a partnership together with MTV in the Netherlands in 2007 and has been visited by over 1.5 million people. The Netherlands is often noted for its remarkably positive sexual health outcomes. Dutch percentages relating to abortion, teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections are among the lowest in the world. Proportionally, the UK has four times more 15 - 24 year olds with Clamydia‡ and there are nearly six times as many pregnant teenagers in England than in the Netherlands*. Leading sexual health experts and organizations continually cite the Dutch openness towards sexuality and universal access to sexual health care and education as important factors behind these successes. Dutch sexuality education is based on an understanding that young people are curious about sexuality and that they have a right to accurate and comprehensive information about sexual health in order that they can make well-informed choices about sexuality and relationships. Dutch sexual educators are increasingly harnessing digital media resources such as Internet forums and online video to connect with young people, creating the inspiration for the site. Showmehow.co.uk aims to offer a positive alternative to the sex education choices currently available to young UK adults and give them access to methods previously only available in the Netherlands and Belgium. The site is supported by international expert organisations including Rutgers WPF, SENSOA, the Flemish Federation for Sexology, the Dutch Association of Sexology and UK HIV and sexual health charity Terence Higgins Trust. Many young people first experience sexual education either through educational materials or pornography. Today’s educational materials often focus on text-based learning - focusing on the negative side of sex such as STI and reproduction prevention. Porn sites and related videos invariably provide an inaccurate and unrealistic impression of what sex, sexuality, love, relationships and intimacy are all about. www.showmehow.co.uk ascribes to the World Association of Sexual Health’s position1 that sexual pleasure plays a crucial role in contributing to the establishment, development and stability of relationships and therefore positively contributing to general wellbeing. The site aims to bridge the gap between education materials and pornography by placing the emphasis on the positive, pleasurable aspects of sex. The site aims to stimulate openness and deliver information in an appropriate tone and contemporary online video format for young people, whilst also offering information on sexual problems and STD’s and birth control. Ben Tunstall, Head of Health Promotion at Terrence Higgins Trust, said: "At THT we're always looking for new and more effective ways to get sexual health messages across. In the UK, the quality of sex education varies widely, and too many young adults are leaving school without the information they need to stay safe. We welcome Show Me How's groundbreaking approach, and have worked closely with site developers to ensure anyone who buys a course will also receive advice on how to protect against STIs." Paula Hall, UKCP Registered Sexual & Relationships Psychotherapist: ‘ShowMeHow is a much needed service that allows young people to de-mystify sex and access accurate and useful information in a non-cringey way. In my experience, many of the problems couples and individuals face in their sex life are a result of inadequate sex education – hopefully this service will go some way to rectify that.” “Many young adults want to learn how to have and enjoy sex but their questions are not addressed sufficiently by governmental organisations and they feel uncomfortable with pornography. They may also be reluctant to ask their parents or peers. www.showmehow.co.uk aims to serve as a ‘best friend’ for young people in their search for information and inspiration about sex. The site has an educational nature and is clear, reliable and inspiring without being cold and too authoritative. The result is a website that helps young adults to have and experience enjoyable sex and build and develop stable relationships.” said Peter Leusink, MD, Dutch GP, sexologist and spokesman for the Foundation of Sexual Education. Visitors to the website can view a free preview video and thereafter each individual video training course can be viewed for a nominal charge of £2.00. There are also two packages available, consists of 14 separate training videos tailored for men or women, each costing £9.95. Payment methods accepted include via SMS, credit or debit card and PayPal.

The next time you apply for a job, don't be surprised if you have to agree to a social-media background check. Many U.S. companies and recruiters are now looking at your Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and other accounts and blogs -- even your YouTube -- to paint a clearer picture of who you are. "Almost all employers do some form of background screening because they have to avoid negligent hiring," said Max Drucker, chief executive of Social Intelligence, a consumer-reporting agency. "An employer has an obligation to make the best effort to protect their employees and customers when they hire." And now the Federal Trade Commission has decided that companies that research how you spend your personal time and what your passions and hobbies are do not violate your privacy. The agency recently investigated Social Intelligence, which scours the Internet for the information, pictures and comments you freely share with the world and sells that data to your potential employers. The FTC found the company compliant with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. In other words, the Internet is fair game. "When someone puts their public life out there publicly, it's there to be evaluated," said Kim Harmer, a partner at Harmer Associates, a Chicago-based recruiting firm. "You find out lots of things about people just by Googling them."

Now that the establishment media has been forced to concede that Ron Paul is a top tier candidate for the Republican nomination, having initially tried to ignore his campaign altogether, expect the smears, dirty tricks and hit pieces against the Texan Congressman to intensify. In this article, we're going to take a brief look at some of the attacks on Ron Paul that we have documented over the last several years.
Despite the smear, reality shows that Ron Paul has received more money in donations from active duty military personnel than all of the other Republican candidates combined and more than Barack Obama himself, and his views on foreign occupations are supported by the very U.S. troops that neo-cons constantly invoke to support maintaining such foreign occupations. Even as Ron Paul won every debate poll and performed well in national polls, the mainstream media admitted that there was a deliberate talking point to exclude his campaign from discussion. After pointing out that Ron Paul only lost to Michele Bachmann by a tiny percentage (and that after accusations that Bachmann's campaign attempted to rig the result by buying 4,000 votes), and that the Ames result was virtually a "tie for first," Politico's Roger Simon said the reason for him being ignored was that "the media doesn't believe he has a hoot in hells chance of winning the Iowa caucuses, the Republican nomination or winning the presidency, so we're gonna ignore him." CNN host Howard Kurtz even admitted that, "We are in the business of kicking candidates out of the race". In February, Fox News claimed that a technical error was responsible for them playing old footage which contained audio of booing as Ron Paul was announced as the winner of the 2011 CPAC poll. In a shocking act of mass public deception, Fox News attempted to skew Ron Paul's 2011 CPAC straw poll win by representing it with footage from the previous year's CPAC event, at which Mitt Romney supporters had loudly booed the result and Paul supporters had been absent due to a Campaign for Liberty meeting running late Indeed, Fox News has a history of smearing and sidelining Ron Paul, but this editorial policy is routinely passed off as a "mistake" of one kind or another. Was it another "mistake" to omit Paul's name entirely from a Fox News survey that asked who would make the best president? Was it a "mistake" that relative nobodies like John Thune and Jon Huntsman were included in the Fox poll and yet Paul was blacklisted entirely despite his CPAC success two years running? Was it another "mistake" on behalf of Fox News to exclude Paul from a January 6 2008 presidential forum event because they saw the prospect of anti-war opinions being voiced by the most conservative member of the House as a "threat"? Was it a "mistake" for Fox News to claim that their own May 2007 presidential poll, which Ron Paul won, was unreliable, because online Paul supporters had skewed the result, despite the fact that the survey was conducted via cell phone text messaging and no online votes were taken? Was it a mere "mistake" for Fox News host Sean Hannity to deride the Texas Congressman's runaway success in the text messaging poll as nothing more than "Paulites" flood voting, when in reality only one vote per cell phone number was allowed? Hannity's contention that Ron Paul supporters were simply dialing in over and over again was nothing more than a brazen lie intended to dismiss the Congressman's widespread popularity. No one at Fox News bothered to correct Hannity and no retraction was issued. Was it another "mistake" when Fox News started editing Ron Paul's name out of Associated Press stories they syndicated before the 2008 presidential campaign? Was it a "mistake" for Fox News to denigrate the fact that Ron Paul received the most campaign donations from members of the U.S. military by attributing it to "libertarian mailing lists"? Was it a "mistake" when Fox News attempted to smear Ron Paul for having the audacity to appear on the Alex Jones Show and the nerve to merely converse with people who commit the thought crime of not completely trusting the official government version of 9/11? Was it a "mistake" when Fox News rigged the structure of their entire May 2007 presidential debate and used it as a vehicle for all the other candidates to viciously attack Ron Paul, while Fox's pre-screened audience rapaciously applauded calls for torture and warmongering? Was it a "mistake" when Fox News directors conspired to censor Ron Paul supporters from appearing in camera shots during the Mackinac Republican Conference on September 22, 2007, when they were caught on film stating, "I don't want these Ron Paul people, but I need shots of audience"? Was it a "mistake" for Fox News to ignore a story every other news outlet was obliged to report, the record-breaking $4.2 million in campaign donations that Ron Paul achieved in a single day, while instead choosing to obsess about a man in Texas who sat in a bath tub full of snakes? However, smear attacks against Ron Paul have come from both the phony right and the phony left.
